Crouch End Sunday Treat

Sunday treat

Beef from Morgan’s Family Butchers and Farm, Brecon Beacons and Alexandra Palace Farmers Market.

Come and treat yourself to fantastic roast beef Sunday lunch with a bottle of house wine for only £30. Book a table on this web site then let us do the rest.

Butchers Choice

Butchers Choice

We are offering two Onglet Steak dinners and a bottle of House Wine for £30 everyday apart from Sunday. On Sunday you can have two roast beef dinners and a bottle of wine.

The Onglet steak used to be called the Butchers Choice as it was the cut the Butcher kept for his family. Our Butcher, the legendary Steve Morgan of Alexandra Palace Farmers Market fame cant eat all of the Onglet steaks his family farm produces and so we can offer them to you.

The family farm is in the Brecon Beacons where the Black Hereford Cattle graze on the sumptuous grasslands all year round.

TAG – Urban Art at The Alex

Could we be any more excited about exhibiting a new collection from TAG – The Turnpike Art Group?

Featuring 5 truly talented urban artists this will be an exhibition to remember.

The theme is Monarchy and provides a tongue in cheek look at variations on royal titles and emblems.

The King

This image of Elvis ‘The King’ Presley will give you an idea of the quality of art at the exhibition. The Burger King brand cleverly playing with the Monarchy theme and the ‘Kings’ penchant for the food stuff that defined the shape of his body during his latter Las Vegas career.

Come and see this exhibition. Maybe you will find something that resonates with you and a bare wall space you have.

Come and meet the artists at the launch on the evening of the 13th August.

London Cheeseboard.

Wildes award winning cheeses made locally

Wildes award winning cheeses made locally

We are now doing a completely London produced Cheeseboard.

The cheeses are from Wildes Cheese the award winning Urban Cheese makers of Haringey. The chutney is from Accumul8, a charity supporting homeless people. The chutneys are made from the fruit of local gardens and made into chutney at the YMCA in Crouch End. The money raised from sales goes towards photography courses for the residents of the YMCA. A fantastic local project.

Oh, and we make the bread in house at The Alex.
